Both the farms at Rovato and Salò, situated in two of the most fascinating and characterizing typical Italian productive areas, have been owned by the Terzi family for about two hundred years. Today they are managed by Count Giuliano Terzi, agricultural entrepreneur. His wife Countess Paola Terzi organizes in particular hosting in both the farms. The former is situated in the Franciacorta region at Rovato (Brescia) in Via Sopramura 8 while the latter is in the Garda Lake’s Riviera at Salò (Brescia) in Via Panoramica 13, Italy.

The farm in Rovato (Franciacorta)

The farm in Rovato has total surface of 45 hectares and lies in a very pleasant hilly countryside in the communities of Rovato and Erbusco (Brescia). Hunting is forbidden in the land on which the farm stands and visitors can thus here observe all the typical wild fowl and animals belonging to the area, as in our grounds a game’s restock is developed.

Grapes and forage together with barley, maize, soybean are the types of crops grown in our farm. During tilling we follow the prescriptions of conservative agriculture, a method of cultivation particularly respectful of soil’s and its structure’s needs. Since 1763, cadastre’s Notary Martino Peroni describing Rovato’s situation in the Pergamena n. X wrote: “At Rovato of Brescian territory … the land’s property is very fertile as it is rich in wheat, hey and different qualities of fruits; in the Northern part (exactly where our farm is situated) there are many low hills with vineyards that produce wines of particular quality and of exquisite taste”.

Today the farm’s vineyards cover 11 hectares and the soil is totally grassy in order to respect more its microclimate. White grapevines present are Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay to obtain Terre di Franciacorta Bianco (White) D.O.C. or Franciacorta Brut D.O.C.G. wines whereas for the red grapevines present there is Barbera, Cabernet, Nebbiolo and Merlot to obtain Terre di Franciacorta Rosso (Red) D.O.C. wine.
Uniquely from Merlot grapes we obtain Sebino Rosso I.G.T. (Red) in order to produce also Novello wine.
These productions are sold on domestic and international markets; they are certified by physic, chemical and organolectic analysis by Brescia’s Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. Specific technical surveys in the vineyards and in the cellar are made in order to have always high qualitative levels for our productions.
With previous reservation, in our farm tastings of our products are organized.

From the distillation of the peels from the Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay grapes is obtained our Grappa di Franciacorta, a distillate which has won several national prizes under anonymous tasting rules.

The farm in Salò (Garda Lake's Riviera)

The farm in Salò is 12 hectares wide and the protected denomination of origin olive groves cover 5 hectares; the remaining area is grass land and copse. At present, farming of the land is carried out using the methods established in order to respect organic production standards.

The outstanding position of the farm in Salò makes it possible to get a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Garda. The ancient farm called "Pignino Sera" is situated about 3 Km from the town’s centre; in the second floor there is a farm-holiday flat that can house up to 6 people, with a living room, three bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom, an equipped kitchen.

There is also a farm-holiday camping site in the farm, with camper-service facilities, that has space for three campers.

The olive trees belong to the Casaliva variety, typical of the Lake of Garda area; the pressed olives produce a Garda Bresciano D.O.P. Organic extra virgin olive oil. Two different certifyer Boards – that are CSQA from Thiene (Vicenza) and Istituto Mediterraneo di Certificazione from Senigallia (Ancona) – insure the correspondence between this our product and the physic, chemical and organolectic strict characteristics required by both qualifications (D.O.P. and Organic).
